AC Peacekeepers were confounded when in the middle of Monday rush hour traffic, a wild turkey wandered on to Sindarian Blvd. The turkey was thought to have accidentally wandered in from the West Forest Trail. Two peacekeeper deputies, and also special agent, Guy Marshall, spent over 20 minutes chasing the bird across the street, while traffic was at a standstill. The theatrics didn't end there though-the terrified turkey exited the road and ran straight into the Coalition Public Safety building. Diligent officer that he is, Marshall continued to chase the turkey through the lobby where finally the bird was captured just after clearing the body-scanner. Chancellor Rexus, who saw the humor in this, (as he does most things), pardoned the bird from Inaria's fowl hunting season.

InterCore CEO denies divorce rumors

Rostislav Ansgar has threatened legal action against various presses (not us!) in response to rumors that he and his wife have split up. Katrin Ansgar, has not been seen in public with her husband for three months. A family insider maintains that this is simply because the couple values privacy, but other sources disagree. ."In the corporate world, not putting on the show of united front almost always spells litigation," says an anonymous InterCore employee. These rumors hit press just a week after InterCore Vice President Ulrich Liechtenstein divorced his wife of 6 years, Annelise-Simone Dagmir, 34. Simone, as she's better known, is the debutante daughter of recently retired Martian corporate leader Westin Dagmir of Omicron Industries and Lapine Republic Chair-fur. Rumors aside, the ladies of known space could hardly complain if these two (very, very rich!) guys were on the market again.

SoundTech going for Sound-Stage?

Rumors are circulating through the Oceanian entertainment circuit that SoundTech monger Damien Tuna, who is slated to sponsor this years Cephapalooza Music Festival, is looking at acquiring the former Rabid Bunny Studios. Or is he? Just last week, we heard that the camp at Swank Productions wanted rights to the former Luna entertainment company in order to expand their circulation from adult moves into the action genre. The recent casting of exotic dancer and former adult actress, Mandy Mannings, in the upcoming Swank flick "Space Adventures of Siren & Jane" would seem to suggest that talks on all sides are still turning out. "Siren & Jane" is being shot on location and is scheduled to premier in late January.

Martian Chef Jailed for improper use of Microwave

Yesterday Tess Sneedhan, 37, of Amunsden City, was taken into custody during the middle of his shift at the RedMark Inn. The charge? Microwaving a pair of wet gym shoes in one of the kitchen microwaves. Sneedhan, who has yet to be appointed an attorney, maintains he was only trying to dry the shoes after accidentally spilling a can of hollandaise sauce. He insists that this arrest only occurred due to his employer's disapproval of his involvement with the Lapin Republic and that "no one uses that one (microwave) anyway." Managers of the RedMark Inn could not be reached for comment. Sneedhan's bail is set at 1000 credits.

Wedding Wrap-Up

Just as the Comet predicted, the wedding of former Annyrion Chancellor Hagalaz Thorsson and Dr. Snow Trevelyan (widow the late SDF Fleet Admiral Ryker Trevelyan) were married in an intimate ceremony in St. Angelus Vineyard, St. Angelus Is. The guest list included only the couple's closest friends, some of whom, not surprisingly are public figureheads and activists themselves. Oceanian Prime Minister Edward Delacroix and his wife, the First Lady Elizabeth, were in attendance, along with Lopangan Secretary of State, Paris; Epiphyte Council member Zobeid Zarathusia; and Lopangan Savannah representatives, Mran and Leonie, who lead the lion community. The bride, who wore a striking mermaid-cut gown was attended by her only daughter, Gwyneth. Before setting off to their undisclosed honeymoon location, the couple is rumored to be having another small gathering for those unable to make the ceremony.
