THE WEEKLY COMET - ISSUE 13

Special Edition: Oooh-Oooh-Oceania!

This week, all of our gossip seems to emulate from the wonderful watery gem of Iridia...

Cephapalooza 2206!

The CCC (Cephalon City Council) today confirmed the location and technical support providers for the soon to be held annual Cephapalooza music festival. The council announced that the venue shall be the central city amphitheatre, with renowned event production company SoundTech, spearheaded by Mr. Damien "Meow" Tuna, providing a spectacular for all ages. Upon talking with Mr. Tuna, he hinted to Comet reporters about a few potential acts on the line up, but would not confirm whether or Two Dead Beagles or Nerfhead will take mainstage. Also, our snoops found out that SoundTech might be showing off a brand new piece of equipment dubbed as IntelliThrow. As to what that is, we will have to wait for Cephapalooza 2206!

In the meantime, here's who (we think) will be playing:

Two Dead Beagles, NerfHead, Bloody Cars, Foxtallica, Pyro-Shanks, Squawkbotz, BlackHawk, ThrillKillKitty And many more!

7th Wave Captain rushed to E.R.

Last night on Saludariiz Island, visiting medic Kurayami Okamto took some time off her vacation to attend handle a minor emergency at Iwakiway Clinic. Co-Leader of the Lopangan Navy and one-time infamous captain of 7th wave, Pandora Ceridyn, received 15 stitches for a head injury incurred prior to landing on Oceania for her own vacation. Afterwards, she left the clinic immediately thereafter in the company of two unidentified males, an otter and a fox. Later that night, medics working the graveyard shift reported receiving a casket of rum as an extra token of goodwill-no word on whether nursing staff waited to punch out before imbibing.

Thorsson/Trevelyan Wedding Sneak Peak!

Yet more rumors are circulating about the pending nuptials of former AC Chancellor Hagalaz Thorsson and Dr. Snow Trevelyan, head of the IGHA and widow of the late SDF Fleet Admiral Ryker Trevelyan. Last week, the Comet heard reports of a Port Annakis or Kamikatan-based ceremony, but now it has been confirmed by our sources that the wedding will definitely take place on Oceania-just as we've been trying to tell you in the first place! According to our insider, the couple has picked the lovely secluded island of St. Angelus in the west Nevan Nexus. St. Angelus is known for beautiful stretches of white powdered beaches, as well as its vibrant vineyard and breathtaking cathedral. While the monastic community would not confirm if any weddings had been booked, rumor has it that the pair will tie the knot as early as tomorrow afternoon! Our reporters are already camping out on the beach to keep you posted!

Tentacle found in postal worker's espresso

This just in! At a Newport Postal Office, a worker, Sancho Reefvs, 33, of Bay St, went to visit the coffee cart near the employee lounge on a routine break. He told Comet Reporters that after taking "just one sip" something tasted off in the coffee: "So I took off the lid thinking I'd just add a little more sugar. I go to stir and (my spoon) touched something sorta hard. Reefvs retired to the employee restroom where he dumped the coffee down the sink, and that's when he found a 9-inch black tentacle. It was confirmed by health officials that the tentacle belongs to a type of wild squid; the squid is currently unidentified and might yet still be at large. In the meantime, health officials have issued a citation for NoDexo, the company who independently runs the coffee cart.

Runway Model Rediscovered

Several months back, the Comet bought you the tragic story of the small chartered plane that went down somewhere in the Strait of Delphini en route to Cephalon. While many crash victims have in fact turned up officially dead, there have been a few survivors relocated. However no one has a story as tremendous as Cephalon-based runway model Kari Blake. Blake, 34, lost her left arm in the crash and was stranded on the remote atoll of Trishell for over a month before being located by Coast guard. Now that she's back and has legally confirmed herself as 'undead,' she told Comet reporters that her main concerns were simply getting her life back on track and spending time with her teenaged son. However, the prestigious 'Fnord' Modeling agency is bidding to get Blake to pose in next season's line of haute couture. So far Blake's publicist has no comment, but said that she might consider booking if the earnings went into an amputee trust fund for cubs. Blake herself is still awaiting replacement arm surgery.

Delphini Socialite Gives Birth

Celia Delphini, wife of Jules Delphini, the heir Delphini Enterprises LLC, has given birth to son Jules Vernon Delphini III. The healthy dolphin cub was born in Cephalon Memorial Hospital over last weekend. This is the couple's first child. Yesterday the new family left on an escorted chopper for the clan's private plantation in the Nevan Island Nexus. Family spokesperson Rocco Delphini, confirmed to the Comet that mother and child are doing well and a birth ceremony and christening are set to happen in St. Angelus Cathedral sometime next week.
